This Privacy Policy explains how Investech ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects personal information when you use our website and application.
1. Information we collect
We collect information you provide during registration, including your name, email address, country, optional address and phone number, and how you heard about us. We also collect billing information through Stripe when you subscribe to a paid plan.
2. How we use information
We use your information to create and manage your account, provide the Service, process payments, communicate with you about your account, improve the product, and comply with legal obligations.
3. Legal bases
Where applicable, we process personal data on the basis of contract performance, legitimate interests in operating and improving the Service, compliance with legal obligations, and consent where you have given it.
4. Sharing and processors
We use trusted service providers to operate Investech, including Supabase for authentication and database hosting and Stripe for payments. These providers process data only as needed to deliver their services to us.
5. Retention
We retain account and portfolio data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward where required for legal, accounting, or security purposes.
6. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, or to object to or restrict certain processing. Contact us to exercise these rights.
While signed in, you can export a copy of your profile and portfolio records from Settings → Privacy, and you can permanently delete your account and associated portfolio data from the same place. For a plain-English summary of ownership and exit, see Security — Your data.
7. Documents and AI features
Documents you upload are stored in private cloud storage tied to your account and are not visible to other customers. AI features inside Investech are provided to help you with your own workspace (for example summaries you request). We do not sell your portfolio or documents as training data to third parties. AI output is not investment or tax advice.
8. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organisational measures designed to protect personal information. No online service can guarantee absolute security. For a plain-English overview aimed at private investors, see our Security page.
